English trip to Hannibal, Mo., March 24

The English department invites students on its annual On the Road field trip. The group is headed for the birthplace of Mark Twain in Hannibal, Mo., on March 24.

Day trip includes:

• Charter bus to Hannibal.

• Lunch together at Ole Planters Restaurant— old timey American fare plus pie!

• Tickets to Mark Twain’s Boyhood Home and Museums where you can see where Mark Twain grew up, visit the house where the “real” Huckleberry Finn lived, and see 16 original Norman Rockwell illustrations and Twain’s famous white jacket.

• Tour of Mark Twain Caves, 6 ½ miles of passages all at a year around temperature of 52 degrees.

The group will leave at 8 a.m. from the Gerber Center driveway and return about 7:30 p.m.

Reserve your spot by contacting Chris Sanders-Ring, 309-794-7335, Old Main 102.
