The Rock Island Public Library is a site for community engagement and connection, assess to digital and tangible materials, early literacy and lifelong learning. Services are provided for all ages and backgrounds.
The library is looking for volunteers to help with their Community Shred Day event on April 25, 2018 from 10:30a.m to 2:00p.m. at 401 19th Street, Rock Island, IL.
Volunteers will assist library staff with the collection of shreddable material from patrons visiting our drive-up, drop off shred day. Volunteers and library staff will deposit this dropped off material into collection bins, for shredding by The Shredder personnel. Volunteers will also help us break down cardboard into recycling containers, and count cars going through the line.
Volunteers will need to fill out the library's volunteer application and waiver of liability form.
Volunteers must sign up by April 20, 2018
