Interview

Schedule a phone or video interview with your counselor if you're unable to visit campus.

Learn what colleges mean when they "recommend" an interview. (podcast)

An interview lets us learn more about you than what's on your application, and gives you a chance to ask whatever you want to know about Augustana College.

We recommend that you interview before submitting your application for admission. It's not a requirement, but we may use what we learn from you when considering your application.

Usually you'll meet with the same admissions officer who will work with your application. Be ready to talk about yourself and your accomplishments, everything from your favorite subjects to involvement in clubs and activities, to how you spend your time on the weekends.  Also, remember that you're making a first impression. You don't have to dress up, but dress appropriately.

We offer interviews on campus from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday. To schedule an on-campus interview, call 309-794-7341.

Students also may schedule a video meeting with their admissions counselors.

Chicago area students who have visited campus can schedule an admissions interview in our Chicagoland office in Lombard, Ill., after May 1 of their junior year. Please contact Courtney Wallace directly to schedule an interview.
