and then travel to Berlin for 4 weeks in June.
A Spring Learning Community comprised of joint courses in History and Philosophy, followed by a 3-week field study program in Berlin, Germany. This unique study abroad program combines shared learning in the two fields of study and three weeks of on-the-ground experiential learning in the capital of Germany.
Academics: No prior study of German is required for this program. It fulfills both an LC and two LP requirements. Coursework will begin in Spring Term, but will not be completed until the early summer (June) immersion in Berlin. Seniors who particiipate will be considered summer graduates. Courses included in this 2-course LC are:
HISTORY 315: Modern Germany. Taught by Dr. D. Ellis. (PP)
PHILOSOPHY 341: Phenomenology & Existentialism. Taught by Dr. H. Storl (PH)
Cost: The current estimated cost for this program is $3,800. Final costs available in Fall 2013.
