2012-2013 Augustana Abroad Photo Contest
Did you travel abroad with Augustana this summer?
Are you overseas now?
Planning on participating in a program this Winter or over Spring Break?
Your photos could win you prizes!
Send a jpeg file of a photo you took while on an Augustana study abroad program this year to either Dr. Bertsche or Ms. Tiedge in the International & Off-Campus programs office (emails below) and enter your photo in our competition. There will be a winner in each photo category ($20 Itunes gift card) and one photo will win the grand prize, a $200 gift card on American Airlines to help you feed your travel fever.
Applications are limited to Augustana students who traveled on Augustana programs between March of 2012 and February of 2013. Entry photos must be received by March 15, 2013.
Students may submit one (1) photo in each of the categories listed below.
All submissions should come via email with the following information: Your name, the program you participated in, a brief description of the photo and its context.
Photo Contest Categories
1. Architecture and design: photos of amazing buildings or ordinary buildings with amazing charm.
2. Nature: The most dazzling of the natural world, from sunsets to rainstorms, animals and plants.
3. Daily Life: People doing what they do, scenes of the street, etc.
4. Culture or celebrations: Photos that capture special cultural insights into places around the world.
5. Augie Students Abroad: Photos showing Augie students engaging with the world. Best if there is an Augie t-shirt, hoodie or the Augie A in the photo to make it obvious, right?
