What did you do before Augustana: I worked at California Lutheran University
What do you most love to tell prospective students about Augustana? I love talking to families about Augie Choice, including our incredible international study options. I also enjoy sharing our many campus construction projects and improvements.
What is your favorite time/tradition of the Augustana school year? I love the fall on campus. The many colors, autumn energy, and of course, the Homecoming Regatta make Augie a dynamic community in the fall.
What's great about the Quad Cities? Everything that the Augustana community needs is at our fingertips - internships, research, opportunities to serve, entertainment, recreation and the arts!
What do you like to do around the community? Attend Augie athletic events, visit the Family Museum in Bettendorf, visit the John Deere Pavillion in Moline.
Do you do volunteer service in the community? Where? I have volunteered with Casa Guanajuato (a service agency that the local Hispanic community uses when they are in need of interventions or referrals) and I volunteer with our local church
Why did you decide to work in this field and/or at Augustana? I visited Augustana in March of 2011 and was instantly enthralled by the beautiful campus, confident and authentic students, and dedicated professionals.
What advice do you have for students who are searching for the right college for them? Visit, visit visit! Nothing compares to a campus visit if you want to truly determine if the school will be the right fit. We invite you to visit Augustana multiple times as you embark on your college search and selection!
