2011-12 Season - Vikings jump to 17th in NCAA poll

A pair of College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin victories last week helped Augustana jump three spots in the most recent NCAA Division III men’s basketball poll, which is conducted by D3hoops.com. The Vikings beat North Park 59-57 on Tuesday, February 7 in Chicago and then beat Elmhurst 71-61 at home on Saturday, February 11.
The Vikings are now 18-5 overall and 8-4 in the CCIW, heading into the last two games of the 2011-12 season, both of which will be on the road. Augustana will head to Kenosha, Wisconsin to face Carthage on Saturday, February 18 and then will play at Wheaton on Tuesday, February 21. They garnered 189 points this week and moved from 20 th to 17 th. Augustana has now been ranked in the top 25 of the D3hoops.com national poll for 26 straight weeks, dating back to the first week of the 2010-11 season.
