Women's lacrosse to host President's Day Clinic

Augustana head coach Sara Tisdale and the Vikings will host a President's Day Girls Lacrosse Clinic at the Player Club Indoor Facility in Naperville, Illinois on Monday, February 18.

Fresh off a 15-3 record in its first year of varsity competition, the Augustana women's lacrosse team will host a President's Day Girls Lacrosse Clinic at the Player Club Indoor Facility in Naperville, Illinois on Monday, February 18. The Vikings of second-year head coach Sara Tisdale will present the clinic the day before they fly out to Los Angeles to start the 2013 season with a three-game spring break trip in California.

The clinic will feature all the members of the Augustana team and it will begin at 1:00 p.m. The cost of the clinic, which is open to girls in grade three through nine, is $30.00. "This is a golden opportunity for our program to not only showcase the sport of women's lacrosse but also to show what kind of program we are developing at Augustana," said Tisdale whose team led NCAA Division III in scoring offense (19.22 goals-per-game), scoring margin (+11.17) and caused turnovers (13.61 per game). "We are looking forward to being able to do this in the Naperville area."  

The clinic will offer work on fundamentals and situational experiences. There will be a meet and greet with the Augustana team after the clinic and the Vikings will go through a practice from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the clinic.  

Tisdale's team will open the 2013 season on February 21 with a match against Redlands and then will play Occidental on February 23 and Whittier on February 25.
