Housing Requirements
Our comprehensive housing program requires first through third-year students to reside in campus housing. This may be significantly different than other schools' housing programs. National studies indicate that students housed on campus tend to graduate within four years, perform better academically, and generally connect better to campus life. And, these studies don't begin to address how you grow personally within our vibrant, dynamic communities.
Exceptions to the housing requirement are allowed on occasion to respond to needs that cannot be accommodated in the residential setting. First-year students may indicate special housing needs on their housing preference form. Returning students may petition for off-campus release or commuter status using the self-explanatory forms below. These should be submitted to the Office of Residential Life each year.
