Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is an independent, non-profit organization that plays an integral role in the community’s health. Our mission: Provide world-class blood products and services to communities in need. Open volunteer positions include Plasma Packaging Laboratory Volunteers and new Street Team concept, a volunteer program dedicated to giving college students the opportunity to volunteer on their own time, in a variety of ways with a field and social marketing approach.

Virtual Reality Game: Calling all puzzlers! Put in volunteer hours at home by helping create virtual puzzles or brain teasers as part of a virtual reality game called "The Scott County Cornet Caper." Each month throughout 2012, a student volunteer is needed to create "clues" or puzzles that utilize facts and trivia about Scott County. KidToons Workshop Assistants: Every Saturday morning, young children and their families will come to the Putnam Museum to enjoy a short feature film in our Giant Screen Theater followed by activities. We are looking for volunteers to help the children during the activity portion of these sessions from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. each Saturday. The Quad City Botanical Center is a private, non-profit organization that strives to foster an appreciation of our natural world through educational programs, display gardens, and special events. Nearly 10,000 people visit the Center each year for school field trips, adult group tours, and family workshops. We rely on dedicated and talented volunteers. Volunteers are needed in the departments of Education, Horticulture, Tourism & Recreation, Public Relations, and Office Management.
