Events planned for Black History Month

The Augustana Black Student Union plans four documentary films and other events in honor of Black History Month in February.

Feb. 6: Documentary: "The Black Panthers," 7:30 p.m. in Hanson 102.

Feb. 7: First Friday event is AFRO: allyship, fairness, realization and opportunity. Activities and snacks from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity, Room 420, the Gerber Center.

Feb. 11: "Ted Talk" by students Tavian Cervantez and Kira Banks at 6 p.m. in Olin Auditorium. Food and prizes.

Feb. 13: Documentary: "The 13th," 7:30 p.m. in Hanson 102.

Feb. 15: Black Culture Community Showcase, 1-6 p.m. Gävle Rooms, the Gerber Center.

Feb. 20: Documentary: "Agents of Change" 7:30 p.m., Black Culture House.

Feb. 24-28: Black Spirit Week

Feb. 27: Documentary: "Beyonce Homecoming," 7:30 p.m., Black Culture House.
