Free STD testing offered Jan. 18

+IMPACT and the public health program will offer free and confidential STD testing from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Brunner Theatre Center.

Free condoms also will be available. Testing will be admniistered by The Project of the Quad Cities, a local, inclusive non-profit organization.

There is no need to sign up in advance. Results will be sent by phone under the number you provide.

Chlamydia and gonorrhea test require a urine sample. HIV, hepatitis and syphilis tests require a small blood draw.

Anyone who has had sexual contact (oral, anal, or vaginal) with another person may be at risk for a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The Project staff can answer questions based on the confidential medical history form that you complete.

If you have any further questions or if you are interested in volunteering at the event, contact +Impact representative Catherine Priebe or faculty adviser Dr. Lena Hann.
