International Education Week events
International Education Week Nov. 18-22 is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
At Augustana this week, the Global Engagement Team (GET), in collaboration with student organizations and departments on campus, will host and sponsor related events, including:
Nov. 19: Film night, "Mom," an Indian crime thriller, at 7 p.m. in Olin auditorium
Nov. 20: Film night, "Julieta," 7 p.m., Hanson 102. (Hispanic Film Series)
Nov. 21: Film night, Kenyan drama "Naliaka is Going," at 7 p.m. in Olin auditorium
Nov. 22: Bingo, 9 p.m., Gävle Room, Gerber Center
Nov. 23: "Augie Goes Global" at the Festival of Trees parade, downtown Davenport, 10 a.m.; "Blue and Gold Envy" tree at Festival of the Trees: Christmas Around the World (Through Dec. 1).
Nov. 23: Friendsgiving, 6 p.m., Wilson Center
