Nordic Workshop at Beaver Creek Reserve

Augustana students can join other students from throughout the Midwest for a weekend of Nordic culture at the Wahlstrom Nordic Workshop Feb. 21-23 at Beaver Creek Reserve, east of Eau Claire, Wis.

Activities include Nordic games, movies, presentations, ax throwing, wood carving, weaving, folk dancing, home-cooked meals and even snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

The event is free for Scandinavian studies majors and minors, or $50 for all others.

Beaver Creek is a nature preserve with more than 400 acres of habitat, including several miles of skiing and snowshoeing trails. The reserve is also home to a nature center, a lodge, and several cabins that sleep 10-15 people.
