If you think you have COVID-19 or flu

In addition to seeking medical advice, students who have COVID symptoms, or test positive for COVID-19, or learn that they have been exposed to someone who tested positive, should immediately contact Augustana Public Safety. Call 309-794-7711.

If you have flu symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), follow these steps.

1. Call your primary care physician first. If you are unable to reach your primary care physician, or if you don’t have one, move to the second step.

2. Connect with a Genesis provider* through your smartphone, tablet or computer through Virtual Care or on the Genesis CareNow app on your phone. (After Sept. 1, you should choose the Augustana Convenient Care location.)

If you are unable to connect with a provider virtually, move to step 3.

3. Call the Genesis COVID-19 hotline at 563-421-3820. The line is open from 24/7.

Please do not come to the campus clinic, to a medical facility or emergency room without calling ahead to protect staff and other patients. If you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, call 911.

*To minimize wait time, select a Genesis provider marked with a Genesis logo above their picture.
