DESCRIPTION:Dance Marathon will hold an informational meeting for interested students to learn about the group and its leadership positions.\n\nThis year's event will be from 4-10 p.m. Nov. 18 at Pepsico Rec Center.\n\nDance Marathon at Augustana College is an annual event to benefit the University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City. As the largest student-run philanthropic event during the school year\, more than 250 students and faculty stay on their feet to raise money and awareness for the Children's Miracle Network and to celebrate the lives of the children we work to support.\n\nMusicians\, performers\, and most importantly\, miracle families (families who have overcome a child's illness\, families who are continuing the fight against their child's illness\, and those who have lost a child to their illness) come to inspire the student dancers during this event.\n
