Wade decision on the issue of the constitutionality of laws that criminalized or restricted access to abortions.\n\nThere will be a commemoration from 4:30-7:30 p.m. hosted by the Department of Women's and Gender Studies and Augustana Teaching Museum of Art. The reception begins at 4:30\, speakers at 5\, and art giveaway at 7 p.m.\n\nOn Jan. 22\, 1973\, the court ruled 7–2 that a right to privacy under the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment extended to a woman's decision to have an abortion.\n
