DESCRIPTION:Augustana Student Government Association and a group of faculty members will sponsor an event in conjunction with #Enough! National School Walkout.\n\nThe event calls for&nbsp\;students\, teachers\, school administrators\, parents and others to take part in 17 minutes to encourage legislation to end gun violence.&nbsp\;That's one minute for each of the victims of the Parkland. Fla.\, school shooting Feb. 14.&nbsp\;\n\nA formal program starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 10:17 a.m. in every time zone. At Augustana\, pastors Richard Priggie and Kristen Glass-Perez will offer a prayer/reflection and SGA representatives will discuss how to get politically engaged. There will be brief remarks\, poems\, stories\, quotes and&nbsp\;moments of silence.\n\nThose attending will be able to register to vote.\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n
