DESCRIPTION:The Quad City Symphony Orchestra will present its first Masterworks of the season: French Moderns. The program is in honor of the Figge Art Museum’s French Moderns exhibit that runs through&nbsp\;Jan. 6\, 2019.\n\nThe program includes Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun\," a symphonic poem for orchestra\; "Syrinx\," for solo flute\, and "Nocturnes\," an orchestral composition in three movements.\n\nThe program also includes "Pictures at an Exhibition\, a suite of pieces for the piano by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky with arrangement by Maurice Ravel.\n\nPerformers will include QCSO Principal Flute Jessica Warren and the Handel Oratorio Society &amp\; Augustana Choral Artists with Jon Hurty.\n
