DESCRIPTION:Soprano Kine Sandtrø\, winner of the 2018 Jenny Lind scholarship\, will perform along with accompanist Julia Sjöstedt.\n\nThis prestigious scholarship is awarded annually by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Sweden.\n\nThe program is free\, but donations will be taken for the Mauritzen Scholarship at Augustana which supports Swedish students who attend Augustana.\n\nSandtrø\, 26\, comes from Stjørdal in Trøndelag\, Norway. In 2017\, she started her candidate program at the University College of Opera in Stockholm\, Sweden. She previously studied music at Ole Vig Vidregående Skole\, Birka Folkhögskola\, University of Stavanger\, Barratt Due Musikkinstitute\, and the Opera Studio at Kulturama in Stockholm. She now lives in Stockholm where she studies at the Opera School .\n\nSjöstedt\, 23\, is from Härnösand in Sweden. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 12 and&nbsp\;three years later\, she moved to Stockholm to start studying at the Lilla Akademiens Musikgymnasium and continued on to the Royal College of Music\, Stockholm\, where she took her bachelor’s degree. She has just started her master’s degree.\n\nRefreshments will be served after the concert .\n
