DESCRIPTION:Senior Lauren Clapp of Augustana College will join representatives of other local institutions and businesses for a Food Rescue Workshop from 2-4:30 p.m. They will talk about rescuing food to reduce costs while making donations\, feeding animals and composting.\n\nAccording to&nbsp\;Scott County\,&nbsp\;40 percent of food in the U.s. is thrown out.&nbsp\;Yet\, 21\,590 people in Scott County and 17\,330 people in Rock Island County are food insecure.\n\nIn addition to Augustana\, participants will include&nbsp\;Baked Bread and Beer Co.\, the Adler Theatre/River Center\, Panera\, as well as regional food waste experts.&nbsp\;\n
