DESCRIPTION:Kimberly La Palm and Lisa Huntsha&nbsp\;will lead a tour&nbsp\;on&nbsp\;artworks and archived papers of&nbsp\;Charles Haag\,&nbsp\;a Swedish-American sculptor and woodcarver.\n\nDr.&nbsp\;La Palm teaches Scandinavian studies&nbsp\;at Augustana\, and Huntsha is a research librarian and archivist at the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center.\n\nThis collection includes materials related to the artists Charles and Sofia&nbsp\;Haag. Charles Haag was&nbsp\;best known for his carvings. Sofia Haag was a&nbsp\;weaver and textile artist. They&nbsp\;emigrated from Sweden&nbsp\;separately and met in New York City in 1903.\n\nThis collection includes information on their personal and professional lives\, including&nbsp\;artwork.\n\nOriginal artwork&nbsp\;by the Haags is held at the Augustana College Teaching&nbsp\;Museum of Art\, American Swedish Institute in&nbsp\;Minneapolis\, Swedish American Museum in&nbsp\;Chicago\, Metropolitan Museum of Art in&nbsp\;New York\, and Swedish Historical Museum\, Philadelphia.\n
