DESCRIPTION:Dr. Monica Smith\, vice president for diversity\, equity and inclusion\, will present the second lecture&nbsp\;of this year's&nbsp\;Frieze Lecture series\,&nbsp\;a 22-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Augustana College to present four talks in the fall.\n\nThis year's theme is "Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities\," in conjunction with the&nbsp\;40th anniversary of the assassination of one of Augustana’s most extraordinary graduates.\n\nDr. Monica Smith will speak on the changing nature of activism\, and how students engage in the digital age with local\, national and global movements.\n\nLectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays&nbsp\;at the Rock Island Main Library\, 401 19th St.\, Community Room. Free coffee\, cookies and conversation are offered after each lecture\n
