DESCRIPTION:The Augustana Jazz Ensemble and Augustana Jazz Combos will present "A Swingin’ Christmas at Augustana\," directed by&nbsp\;Joel Linscheid.\n\nThe concert will feature a variety of holiday favorites\, including "Sleigh Ride" (as performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra)\, "Winter Wonderland" (as sung by Ella Fitzgerald) and "Jingle Bells" (as performed by the Count Basie Orchestra).\n\nThe Augustana Jazz Ensemble also will p lay three movements of the famous “Ellington Nutcracker”— Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn’s reinterpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite.
