Augie Sweethearts: Jamie Blakeley '09 and Marc Blakeley '08

My older sister, Kelly, went to Augie and was in the same class as Marc. When Marc first saw a picture of me, he told my sister he was going to marry me one day. Kelly told him that I had a serious boyfriend so that probably wouldn’t happen. We hung out in the same group a couple times, but never really interacted with each other.

Fast forward to January 2007, we started dating. Marc played baseball for Augustana, so I went to all his games his junior and senior years. He moved back to Wisconsin after graduation, but we continued dating.

We got married in August 2011, and our first daughter, Declynn, was born in October 2016! We have three dogs, and one of them is named Augie after where we met!
