Augie Sweethearts: Deborah Skowronski and Jeffrey Howell, Class of 1980

Little did Jeff and Deb know that their Chemistry class Freshman year would lead them to discover that there was "chemistry" between them!

One day when Jeff stopped to talk to a mutual friend, he met Deb. Deb recognized him - they were in the same Chemistry lecture. Jeff had never noticed her because he sat right up front and Deb further back. So next class he turned around, and sure enough saw her there.

Then he discovered they were in the same Friday afternoon lab! Deb had lab in the room with the ice machine, while Jeff was in a different room. When they were doing experiments which required ice, Jeff started volunteering to get ice for ALL his labmates, just so he could sneak looks at Deb.

To make a long story short, they started studying Chemistry together, and the rest is history!
