Augie Sweethearts: Becky Thomas '80 and Ward Rivenburg '79

My sweetheart and I met in Jim Galley's intro accounting class. Ward was my class proctor and come to find out a close friend of my Kappa Epsilon Sorority Sister, Carrie Gillstrom. I thought he was cute and funny so, with Carrie's encouragement and the blessing of the sorority, I invited him to a sorority informal party.

In 1986 we were married in Ascension Chapel by Dr. Ralph Radloff, a dear family friend and wonderful professor. I wore the traditional Swedish Bridal Crown and felt like a true princess! And, as they say, the rest is history - a very blessed and loving history.
