Augie Sweethearts: Kevin Worrall and Alissa LePere, Class of 2001

While preparing for Student Activities' Easter egg hunt our junior year, Alissa's friend (Andy Schaefer '01) secretly placed a message about winning a date with her in an egg and included it with the others to be hidden throughout campus.

Although I found the "winning" egg the next morning, I never claimed the "prize." During our senior year, I finally mustered the courage to tell Alissa about the prize I had found. However, still didn't ask her out.

Later that year on Valentine's Day, I sent her a card in campus mail and went into hiding. Fortunately she found me at that night's basketball game and asked me to the Delta Chi Theta Skate Date Party.

Two years later we married at Ascension Chapel and will celebrate 15 years of marriage on June 28th. Valentine's Day and Augustana will always have a special place in our hearts.
