International Street Fest: Culture Show

The Office of Multicultural Student Life will sponsor the International Street Fest, with a fashion show of traditional clothing, international dinner, game night and folklore presentation. All events are free except the dinner.

The final event of the International Street Fest will be a fashion show of traditional clothing from around the world, featuring an exhibit of student artifacts. The first 50 attendees will receive a GET novelty water bottle and Beats by Dre headphones will be raffled off. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

If you are interested in representing your culture on the catwalk, please sign up by January 25th.

Folklore & More is from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, followed by Game Night in the Brew by the Slough. Those interested in competing at Game Night should register by Jan. 25.

On Friday, the dinner will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. in the dining hall. The cost of the international dinner is $11.25 for those without an Augustana meal plan. The menu will represent Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the U.S.

The Culture Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Gävle Rooms. There will be fashion show of traditional clothing from around the world and an exhibit of student artifacts. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Those interested in participating should sign up by Jan. 25.
