Dr. Tom Tredway will will share the story of Bill Sampson, a 1970 graduate of Augustana who left a major mark on the college, then went on to confront the Ku Klux Klan in a struggle that would lead to his murder on Nov. 4, 1979.

Lectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays at the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th St., Community Room. Free coffee, cookies and conversation are offered after each lecture
