Julotta

The 170th Julotta, an early morning Christmas service, will be held at at Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover, Ill.

The service celebrates the Swedish heritage of the congregation. It begins in candlelight singing “Silent Night” and ends with the dawn of Christmas morning.

The church’s first pastor, Lars Paul Esbjörn (1808-1870), was  the first president of Augustana College & Theological Seminary.
