Frieze Lecture: 'Beloved'

Dr. Ashley Burge, assistant professor of English, will present "Beloved" in the last of this year's Frieze Lecture Series "Ideas That Changed Us."

In the series, Augustana faculty  discuss books that mark significant artistic, scientific or political movements. Dr. Burge will discuss how Morrison’s literary masterpiece has faced multiple banning attempts for its frank depiction of the horrors of slavery.
