Pride in Memory reception
Quad Cities Pride in Memory will host a reception in honor of its first display of local LGBTQ historical artifacts.
In collaboration with the Putnam Museum, Augustana College, Sarah Robb and Fourth Wall Films, Pride in Memory will unveil a set of six history panels representing the lives of local LGBTQ+ residents from a variety of perspectives and relevant topics from the 1960s through the 2000s.
The panels were created under the direction of Robb, a local artist.
Augustana students Hannah Weber, Mackenzie Sullivan and Katie Zenisek are taking individual histories for the project, and producing multi-media presentations such as public radio podcasts made available online, a published booklet and more.
The students will be present to answer questions, along with a representative of Moline-based Fourth Wall Films, which is collaborating with Pride in Memory on a full-length documentary film.
