Frieze Lecture: 'Barbie as a Feminist Icon? A Discussion of Greta Gerwig’s 2023 Blockbuster'

This panel discussion of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) students will be led by Dr. Jennifer Heacock-Renaud, coordinator of the WGSS program.

This year's Frieze Lecture Series theme is "Feminism: From Basics to Barbie." All programs involve faculty or students affiliated with Augustana’s Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program and are designed to create greater insight and context related to feminism.

This is the last of four lectures in the series. The Frieze Lecture series is a 26-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Augustana College to present four talks in the fall. Lectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays at the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th St., Downtown Community Room.
