O. Fritiof Ander Lecture: 'Warner Oland: Sweden's Forgotten Movie Star'

The Swenson Center is happy to announce that the O. Fritiof Ander Lecture Series is back.

The 2024 lecture by Dr. Kim Khavar Fahlstedt is about Warner Oland, a Swedish actor most famous for his portrayal of Charlie Chan.  

Dr. Fahlstedt is a writer and film historian, currently serving as an Associate Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at Örebro University, where he also directs the Film Program. His latest book, Oland (Stockholm: Appell, 2024), delves into the life and legacy of Swedish-American Hollywood star Warner Oland and has attracted widespread attention in Sweden.
