Guest artist talk: Yefim Bronfman

""

On Dec. 5, Yefim Bronfman will give a guest-artist talk about his career followed by a Q&A session. Mark Russell Smith, director and conductor of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, will moderate the session.

Internationally recognized as one of today’s most acclaimed and admired pianists, Yefim Bronfman stands among a handful of artists regularly sought by festivals, orchestras, conductors and recital series. His commanding technique, power and exceptional lyrical gifts are consistently acknowledged by the press and audiences alike.

The event is co-sponsored by the Augustana College Department of Music and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. Bronfman will be in the Quad Cities this weekend to play the Schumann concerto with the QCSO on Dec. 6 (Adler Theatre, Davenport) and Dec. 7 (Bartlett Performing Arts Center, Moline).

This talk is free and open to the public.
