Beyond the White Coat

Beyond the White Coat is a 50-minute reflection-based communication workshop designed for undergraduate pre-health students.

The workshop will introduce early opportunities for students to practice trust-building, reflective communication, and thoughtful responses to health misinformation before entering professional health programs.

The session includes a case-based scenario involving patient concerns or health misinformation, guided discussion questions, and structured reflection prompts grounded in public health principles and Social Cognitive Theory.

All materials and facilitation will be provided.  Students who complete the session will receive a certificate of participation from the Augustana Public Health Department.
