Faculty recital: Xiaoyu Liu, low brass

Iris Xiaoyu Liu is a bass trombonist and serves as instructor of low brass at Augustana College, where she teaches brass methods, low brass choir, and applied low brass.

Liu's work centers on performance excellence, pedagogy and inclusive representation in classical music. She is currently completing her doctor of musical arts degree in trombone performance and pedagogy at the University of Iowa, where she has served as a graduate teaching assistant.
