Introducing Dr. Katherine Brown and Rebel: Augustana's Newest Therapy Dog Team

Animal assisted therapy (AAT) has a longstanding history of providing support across a wide array of roles, like mental health, education, healthcare, victim/human services, and much more. Over her pre-tenure paid leave Dr. Katherine E. Brown and her dog, Rebel, became a certified therapy dog team through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. In her tea talk, Dr. Brown will discuss the work she and Rebel do with AAT, what inspired their journey, and next steps for them as trauma-informed therapy dog partners.

This is one of the Tea Talk series sponsored by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program. Refreshments will be provided.
