The Personal Is Political: How WNBA Players Have Led the Way in Athlete Activism

This Tea Talk will examine the history and activism within the WNBA. Issues ranging from race, gender, pay equity, and sexuality have been at the forefront of the league since its inception, and this provides the opportunity to break it all down.

Zachary Draves will present. He is a co-founder of the Sport in Society Initiative and sports journalist/featured writer for SB Nation Swish Appeal covering women's basketball week. He is director of Augustana's Office of Sexual Assault Prevention Education.
