Alumni honored at Forty Under 40 award banquet

Four Augustana College alumni were among the young professionals honored at the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal’s 2026 Forty Under 40 awards banquet at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center on Sept. 17.

The Augustana honorees were:
• Kathryn Jecklin ’12 – AVP Retail Sales Manager, American Bank & Trust; Board Member, Black Box Theatre; Social Chair/Board Member, Davenport (Iowa) Rotary; Ambassador, Quad Cities Chamber
• Tanner Osing ’18 – Planning & Zoning Manager, City of Rock Island
• Mike Pettis ’09 – Director of Admissions for Student-Athlete Recruitment, Augustana College
• Alan Silas ’14 – Director of Policy and Planning, MetroLINK; Member, Moline (Ill.) City Council

The awards recognize 40 leaders under the age of 40 who are making a difference in the Quad Cities. The 2026 honorees were selected from nominations submitted to the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal by the nominees’ colleagues, mentors, fellow board members, friends and family.  

Winners are chosen by a panel of area leaders that weighs business success and civic/philanthropic activities.

More than 400 people attended the fifth annual event. Event sponsors were Augustana College, Vera French and Arconic.
