1960

Don Palmgren is a professor emeritus of art at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.

1962

Diane Griffin runs a virology lab and serves as vice president of the National Academy of Sciences. 

1964

Carol Smith Wilkinson serves as president of the Winneshiek Medical Center Auxilliary Board and secretary of the Vennehjem Council. She has been working as a standardized patient (role-playing) for 14 years at the Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, Minn.

1967

John Hoglund is serving as an arbitrator in 17 Washington counties for the Mandating Arbitration Program.

1971

Susan Berg Heeg published her second book in October 2022. It is titled "God's Song in Your Soul: Keys to Finding Joy in the Midst of Difficulties – a Devotional Journey." 

1972

James Borowski retired after 36 years in education (12 years as a health teacher and 24 years as a dean of students).

1974

Tim Anderson retired on June 30, 2022, after serving as pastor for Immanuel Lutheran in Altona, Ill. For 40 years, and Trinity Lutheran in Harvard, Ill. For 4 years.

Paula Lowe earned her Ph.D. from Antioch University Graduate School of Leadership and Change. Dr. Lowe's dissertation, "Mind Wandering in Daily Life: A National Experience Sampling Study of Intentional and Unintentional Mind Wandering Episodes Reported by Working Adults Ages 25-50," is available through OhioLINK and Google Scholar. Her findings contribute to thought process research and inform leaders, workplaces and schools as to the frequency and characteristics of off-task thinking in daily life.

1975

Duane Anderson had two poetry collections published in 2022 — "The Blood Drives: One Pint Down" and "Conquer the Mountains."

Steven Faulkner retired in July 2021 as the chief of the Rehabilitation Services Bureau of the Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services after 32 years of service.

1977

Jeff Hayes retired in June 2020, after 36 years with the Ohio Department of Agriculture as a veterinary pathologist for the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory. 

1978

Keith Brill was promoted to vice president of finance and operations at Clad-Rex Steel, LLC, a portfolio company of Main Street Capital.

1979

Peter Simshauser retired in December 2020, after more than 30 years at the Skadden Arps international law firm, the last 15 years as a litigation partner in its Boston office. In March 2021, he became the chief legal officer of Motional AD Inc., a company affiliated with the Hyundai Motor Group that is developing and commercializing self-driving autonomous vehicles. He serves on the Augustana College Board of Trustees, and chairs its Innovation and Competitive Positioning Committee.

1980

Steven Betts was elected to the board of the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF). The ACF is among the top 25 community foundations in the nation with more than $1.1 billion in trust and endowment assets.

Donna Warak Kwiatkowski retired from Northwestern University after 29 years.

1982

Christopher Hennessy retired after 25 years of teaching social studies and coaching tennis at Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Ill.

Cheryl Parsons, after practicing physical therapy for 34 years, is now working for the Missouri Department of Health, inspecting nursing homes and investigating complaints.

1984

Jon France retired after 36 years as a Department of Defense Army Civilian, serving in a variety of roles as a senior civilian logistician. He also retired from managing an Army airfield for 20 years. 

1986

David Offutt retired as president of Deutsche Boerse Systems Inc., Chicago, in February 2022.

Dana Worden was promoted to SVP Commercial Lending Group manager, San Diego Office of Pacific Western Bank, in March 2022.

1992

M Acuff was promoted to full professor of art at Whitman College.

Prateek Agrawal joined USAA as head of operational resiliency.

Amy Knutson-Strack joined Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science as the director of advancement communications earlier this year. She is also serving her second term as a school board member for District 127 in Grayslake, Illinois

Jeni Dix Schomber is a public library consultant started a new job with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as in September of 2022.

1994

Eric Schmitz is the Beginning School and Lower School assistant principal at Rowland Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also a Realtor with Urban Utah Homes and Estates in Salt Lake City.

1998

Kendra Nicholson Brodin is CEO of EsquireWell, a company she founded in 2021 to improve well-being in the legal profession.

1999

Johan Alfredéen earned a Master of Science in Computer Science focusing on ML and scientific computing from Uppsala University, Sweden, in September 2022.

2003

Justin Rice is an assistant professor of biology (tenure track) at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.

2004

Nina Chanel Abney has an exhibition titled "Fishing Was His Life" at the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, Wash. It centers on the rich culture and identity of Black fishers as well as the structural inequities within the fishing industry.

2007

Laura Anderson is a singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Nashville, Tenn., and has released a new album, "Burn It All Down."

2008

Samantha Arbogast married Jeremy Kramer on Sept. 18, 2022.  She was promoted to jamf and application packaging engineer at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Ill.

Amanda Nordstrom Gross and her husband, Michael, had a son, Logan, in 2020. She received her MSN-FNP degree in 2021.

2009

Amy Howard Schenkel and her husband, Adam, had a son, Owen Thomas, on Jan. 8, 2022.

Shelby Stanley is the program director of the new Ophthalmic Technician Program at Elgin Community College.

2010

Allie Matuszewski Glazer is now full-time in her speech therapy private practice (www.alliemslp.com) serving the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Andrew Harrison and Sheena Kemp '11 Harrison had a son, Levi, on Sept. 13, 2022.

2011    

Dana Gustafson Anderson and her husband, Matthew, had their second child, Marceline Thomasin Anderson.

Tim Faith is the brewing manager/brewmaster at Octopi Brewing in Madison, Wis.

Jimmy Hallene and Morgan Gale '12 Hallene had a son, William Thomas, on June 9, 2022 (Theodore, 3).

Sheena Kemp Harrison and Andrew Harrison '10 had a son, Levi, on Sept. 13, 2022.

Danielle Kilberry married Mike Warren on Sept. 2, 2022.

Allison Lee Lisney graduated valedictorian of class #3497 at the University of Illinois Police Training Institute.

Rachel Schuldt is the Chicago Office manager for OMD, the world's largest media agency. She is also a freelance cellist in the Chicago area.

Morgan Gale Hallene and Jimmy Hallene '11 had a son, William Thomas, on June 9, 2022 (Theodore, 3).

Cat Foreman Hesterberg and her husband, Cullen, had a daughter, Charlotte Michelle Hesterberg, on Jan. 2, 2022. Cat received the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine's Outstanding Young Alumni Award at the 2022 Fall Conference on Sept. 29, 2022.

Amy Malmstead Piff and her husband, Michael, had a daughter, Molly Ann Piff, on Aug. 29, 2022.  

Samantha Tyner married Matthew Monroe on May 1, 2021.

2013

Sarah Jones Chargois was the top female finisher in the Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon Nov. 12 in Richmond, Va., winning in 2:51.02, a personal best. It was her first marathon.

Grace Neigel completed her first Chicago Marathon on Oct. 9, 2022.

2014

Kelsey Moon married Andrew Greiner in June 2022. She is working as a physician assistant in General and Orthopedic Surgery at Shriners Children's Hospital in Chicago.   

Nicole Przybylski Olson is a marketing consultant at Videographer.com.

2015

Dolores Arteaga graduated with a master's in teaching from Marian University (Indianapolis) in May 2022. She is in her fourth year of teaching.

Megan Funke Gibbons and her husband, Matthew, had a daughter on Oct. 27, 2021. She is a teaching adjunct at Bradley University in the Foster College's Marketing Department.

Allison Hupfer Hyatt is a claims representative at BNSF Railway in Chicago, Ill.

Ben and Hannah Buto Knapper had a son, Henry, in November 2022.

Gary Miller married Suzanne Sittko on July 30, 2022. He recently released a sketch comedy album streaming everywhere, titled "Good Kids Daad City."

Felicia Mosenfelder was promoted to assistant superintendent with BNSF Railway in Galesburg, Ill. She will help provide leadership to the second largest classification yard BNSF operates in the United States.

2016

Jake Norcia is a major market sales executive with Paycor.

Aubrey Waddick received her Ph.D. in political science from Penn State University in August 2022. She and Luke Currie had their first child in August.

2017    

Sam Dunklau is working for NPR Harrisburg WITF. He married Rebecca Anzel on Sept. 25, 2021. He earned a master's in the University of Illinois Springfield's P.A.R. program (Public Affairs Reporting).

Viktoria Andonova married Jeff Thompson on May 28, 2022.

2018    

Caitlin Gonsiorek was promoted to Park Services specialist at Ichetucknee Springs State Park. She is responsible for developing park programs, outreach, volunteer recruitment and volunteer management.

Brandon Huff married Madison Wentz '19 on Oct. 1, 2022.

Hannah Clayton Schlitzer earned her doctorate in audiology in March 2022 and was married in June 2022. She works at Grant Regional Health Center Lancaster, Wis.

Abigail Wade is a domestic violence counselor at Harbor House in Kankakee, Ill. 

2019

Morgan Clark is a junior implementation specialist at NextGen Healthcare, a health care IT company on Forbes America’s Best Employers 2022 list.

Liz Elberts is employed by Duke Energy and recently relocated to Greensboro, N.C.

Zach Roling is an app/cloud support senior analyst at Accenture in Peoria, Ill., which provides data analytics support work for all Caterpillar dealerships globally.

Madison Wentz married Brandon Huff '18 on Oct. 1, 2022.
