Bill Bondeson was honored by a former student by having an endowed lectureship named for him — the Bondeson Lectureship in Health Ethics at the University of Missouri, where Bondeson taught until 2012.
1967
Ann Boaden's fiction appears in Persimmon Tree, a journal conceived, managed, edited and showcasing exclusively the prose, poetry and art of women age 60 and older. Originally founded by Gloria Steinem and others, the journal celebrated its Jubilee Edition with a special issue in July 2025. One of Boaden's pieces was featured in this issue.

John Erickson received a Community Service Award from the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging in recognition of 15 years of volunteer service with Penn's Village, a community-based membership organization in central Philadelphia that assists older adults to live independently in their own homes.
Laura Monson MacKenzie married Michael Carley on July 20, 2025.

Vikings connect! Lisa Carlson '75 Goodale and Craig Buckwalter '97 met up at mental health literacy/peer ally training in Ann Arbor, Mich., part of the United Association's instructor training for tradespeople in the United States and Canada.

Susan Dawson published a book titled “Growing Into Leadership: Lessons Learned Along the Way” in July.
1991
Carla Arnell was appointed associate dean of the faculty and director of the Office of Faculty Development at Lake Forest College, where she is a professor of English. Arnell's scholarly book "Divine Representations: The Rise of the Mystical Novel in Twentieth-Century England" is scheduled for publication by SUNY Press in February 2026. Her book was initially inspired long ago by an Augustana Foundations course called “Mystics and Visionaries,” taught by Drs. Karin Youngberg '58 and Mary Kirn. The book’s first chapter reflects the insights of Arnell’s beloved George MacDonald mentor, Dr. Ann Boaden '67.

Scott Cunningham is the senior minister at First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ in Rochester, Mich. He and his wife, Kristen, have two daughters, Ruth and Lucia (Lucy).

Daniel Terronez earned an MBA from St. Ambrose University in May 2024. He is a partner success manager at Medix Dental IT and an assistant wrestling coach at St. Ambrose University. He completed the Lideramos Latino Leadership Program and serves as a board member of Palomares Social Justice Center in Rock Island.
