1984
Lincoln Bode completed the 2026 World Marathon Challenge: seven half marathons on seven continents in seven days to raise funds for the Michael J Fox Foundation. The event started in Antarctica on Jan. 31 and finished in Miami on Feb. 6. He is part of Team Fox (Endurance Athlete Group), working to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's research. He ran on behalf of his father, who passed away earlier this year after a nine-year battle with the disease.
1993
Timothy Schlegel, theater educator at Sterling (Ill.) High School, was honored by the National Federation of State High School (NFHS) associations, one of the most highly regarded recognitions in high school athletics and performing arts. The NFHS Theatre Citation Award is meaningful recognition of a program that consistently puts students first through creativity, collaboration and excellence.

Lizandra Gomez-Ramirez co-authored the chapter "Contested Counterspaces: Creating Latinos/x Unidos at a Midwestern College" with Dr. Christopher Strunk for "Called to Reckon: Replacing History and Reclaiming Mission at a Midwestern College," edited by Dr. Jane Simonsen, professor of history and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Augustana.
2017 and 2018
Hannah Lindaman '17 and Ryan Hicks '18 were married on Sept. 27, 2025. Hicks is a dentist and Lindaman is a nurse in the Quad Cities.

Harrison Phillis co-authored the chapter "Introduction: Naming our Ghosts" with Dr. Jane Simonsen for "Called to Reckon: Replacing History and Reclaiming Mission at a Midwestern College," edited by Dr. Simonsen, professor of history and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Augustana.
Nicholas Zammuto was promoted senior associate attorney at the regional law firm Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C.

Robert Burke authored the chapter "Queering the Landscape: Radical Hospitality at the "Good Life" College" in the new book "Called to Reckon: Replacing History and Reclaiming Mission at a Midwestern College," edited by Dr. Jane Simonsen, professor of history and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Augustana.
Christian Elliott researched and wrote "Where the Prairie Still Remains – Are pioneer cemeteries key to the Iowa prairie’s revival, or its final resting place?" for Noema Magazine, published online and in print by the Berggruen Institute. A science and environmental writer based in Illinois, Elliott has written for National Geographic, Smithsonian, Science, Undark and Scientific American, among other publications.
