Design for America chapter seeks leadership
A new chapter of Design for America (DFA) at Augustana College is being organized for fall 2026, and a small founding executive board is needed.
Design for America is a national student-led network where students come together to identify real problems they care about and design creative, practical solutions. It’s built on the idea that the best way to learn is by doing real, hands-on work that builds leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills in the process.
The structure, culture, and direction of the organization at Augustana will be shaped by the founding team.
Two founding executive board positions are open: Vice President / Operations Lead, and Marketing & Growth Lead
Students who apply should be:
- Interested in human-centered design, innovation, deep problem-solving, and community impact
- Excited by the idea of building something new from the ground up, and finding real solutions for real people.
- Comfortable taking initiative and working without a fully defined structure
- Reliable, collaborative, and willing to put in real effort
