Habitat chapter needs new members!

Augustana's chapter of Habitat for Humanity needs new members. If you are interested in serving the community by working on homes for people in the community, contact Habitat at Augie.

The group will need to elect officers this semester.

This service organization sponsors the annual Shantytown event on campus to raise awareness about homelessness, among other events and fundraisers.

Augustana Habitat has been one of 20 colleges and universities affiliated with Habitat for Humanity Illinois.

It is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through its affiliates in constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds. Worldwide, Habitat for Humanity has helped build, renovate and repair more than 600,000 houses sheltering more than 3 million people.
