Jazz Ambassadors

The internationally acclaimed Jazz Ambassadors, official touring big band of the United States Army, will continue a tradition of free performances at 2 p.m. March 15 in Centennial Hall on campus.

This 19-member ensemble entertains all types of audiences with big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals, and patriotic selections.

To obtain free tickets, visit the Augustana Ticket Office or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Augustana Ticket Office, 3703 7th Ave., Rock Island, Ill., 61201. The limit is six tickets per party.

As a component of The United States Army Field Band of Washington, DC, The Jazz Ambassadors supports its mission of carrying “into the grassroots of our country the story of our magnificent Army.” The band has appeared in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Japan, India, and throughout Europe.
