Faculty/student attendance at professional conferences
Augustana Student Research/Inquiry Committee
The Augustana Student Research/Inquiry Committee has established a program to encourage and underwrite the participation of faculty members and students attending professional conferences. While it is expected that either the faculty member or at least one of the students is presenting at the conference other requests to attend but not present at a conference will be considered if there is ample explanation regarding the benefits of attendance by the students.
Monies granted through this program may be used for conference registration, travel and housing at the conference. Reimbursements for food and incidental expenses are not included. It is expected that this request is made for funds needed in addition to any that are available through your department.
Eligibility
If the requirements have been met for applying for and receiving the Student Attendance at Professional Conferences funds, then additional students may apply for funds to present at or attend a professional conference through the Faculty/Student Attendance at Professional Conferences funds.
If a student is applying for funds to attend a professional conference, the student must have solid plans for presenting at a professional conference in the future while enrolled at Augustana College.
Funding maximum: $200 per participant for a maximum of $1,000.
