Dr. Oleski Miranda Navarro taught Latin American and Spanish Peninsular literature at the University of Edinburgh. He is a sociologist and conducted postgraduate studies in anthropology and development at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago.
His current research focuses on 19th-century Latin American racial essayism.
Born and raised in Cabimas, Venezuela, Oleski has spent most of his adult life traveling with his wife and raising their children abroad. He enjoys coffee, books, football (soccer) and cinema.
