A DeWitt, Iowa, native, Rachel is a proud alumni of Central DeWitt High School. Rachel graduated from Wartburg College in 2009 with a degree in Voice Performance and a minor in Theater Arts; she then completed a master's degree in Voice Performance at the University of Minnesota in 2011. Rachel spent many years in the "frozen north" singing with the world-renowned Minnesota Opera as a professional chorister before returning back to the "slightly less frozen" Midwest in 2015.
In the Quad Cities area Rachel has put her talents to use performing as a chorister with the professional vocal ensemble "Nova Singers," as an actor/singer with Quad City Music Guild, and as a classical soloist with Opera Quad Cities.
Rachel has been fortunate to enjoy many professional opportunities, and some of her favorite roles include Abigail Adams (1776), Mrs. Potts (Beauty & the Beast), Mercedes (Carmen), Desiree Armfeldt (A Little Night Music), Jean Brodie (The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie), and The Witch (Into the Woods).
